Event Safety Training

What's the best way to load a shackle? What needs to be in your Emergency Action Plan? How do you assess the density of a crowd? These are all among the topics covered in bespoke training and education courses put on by TESS Creative Safety. We have a wide range of subject matter experts that are happy to meet any students where they succeed.

During those years, we have helped induct tens of thousands of people onto event sites, from Glastonbury to Hong Kong to Texas.  We delivered specialist training programs within the industry and have created dozens of bespoke seminars and exercises for clients around the world.

Over the past few years, the TESS Creative Safety team has shared their knowledge and expertise with a wealth of clients. In Bangkok, Justin Argent facilitated training days with Live Nation’s S.E. Asia teams, tackling risk management and operations; Tim Roberts has been back with the production teams from Festival Republic and the BBC to talk about crowd dynamics and modeling, alongside Simon Ancliffe from Movement Strategies; and in the USA, Don Cooper has been coordinating tabletop exercises for large US events.

Safety training is not only a fundamental legal requirement in many contexts but also brings numerous benefits to an organization; increasing expertise, reducing losses, and encouraging teamwork and skill transfer.  While we can deliver off-the-shelf training products, we prefer to build sessions around the specific needs of our clients to provide better value for money and a longer lasting impact.
