Tim has amassed over 30 years’ experience in the event industry, having consulted on festivals, sporting events, national celebrations and concerts across the globe. Since 2000 he has been a partner at The Event Safety Shop along with being a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).

For 12 years Tim was the Safety Co-ordinator at Glastonbury Festival, progressing to become the festival’s Event Operations Director. Every year he works on dozens of events of every conceivable type, indoors and out.

His combination of qualifications and practical experience underpins insight into the safety challenges of major event production, alongside strategic thinking to help TESS support events in emerging markets, whilst (literally) keeping his boots on the ground.

He is currently consolidating TESS ventures in the Middle East, Hong Kong and the USA. He has been actively involved in developing international standards for the entertainment sector, including work with UK regulators and the USA’s Event Safety Alliance. He is a keen educator and trainer, designing course materials and enjoy sharing the knowledge.
